Typical scope
- Replacing doors, drawer fronts and hardware
- Backsplash replacement
- Assessing what can be kept - cabinet boxes, layout, services - before any replacement is scoped.
- Matching new elements to existing ones by finish, edge profile and hardware, with the achievable match stated in advance.
- Sequencing so the kitchen remains usable for as much of the work as the scope allows.
- Confirming that existing services support the change before appliances or fittings are ordered.
- A written scope that names what is being changed and what is being left, so the boundary is agreed rather than assumed.

What to know before work begins
Plumbing, electrical, gas and HVACWhen a project includes work that requires a licensed trade, the appropriate specialist is engaged for that part of the scope.
Other limits
- The cabinet boxes have to be sound for a partial update to be worth doing. If they are not, we will tell you rather than take the work.
- A countertop change often forces a backsplash change; the two are rarely independent.
- A partial update does not make old and new indistinguishable. Where an exact match is not achievable, that is said before the work is agreed, not demonstrated afterwards.
- Where the condition of what would be kept makes the result short-lived, that is stated plainly - even when it means recommending a larger scope or no work at all.
Do you provide materials?
Who supplies each material is agreed for the project and recorded in the written estimate. We confirm purchasing responsibilities before work begins.
Do I need photos to request an estimate?
No. Photos are optional, but they can help us understand the existing condition.
