Typical work to discuss
The written estimate confirms what is included for your home.
Typical scope
- Coordinating licensed trade schedules around the kitchen sequence
- Preparing the framing and cabinetry for new supply lines
- Providing access for electrical and plumbing alterations
If existing conditions require it
- Accommodating waste line adjustments to the new footprint
Optional or separate work
- Appliance installation and final connections
Before moving kitchen fixtures or appliances
Moving an appliance within the same cabinet run and moving a sink across the room can involve different access and finish work. A simple sketch of the existing and proposed positions is more useful at the outset than a finished kitchen design.
The proposed locations need to be checked against the available plumbing, power and ventilation arrangements. Regulated plumbing, electrical or gas work belongs with the appropriate licensed specialist. Do not assume an existing connection can simply be extended.
Cabinet openings, countertop changes and repairs to the floor or wall should be considered with the relocation. Confirm appliance dimensions and supplier requirements before treating a particular layout as final.
Helpful details for your estimate
A short description is enough to start. These details and photos are optional.
- The current and proposed locations of each fixture or appliance.
- Model numbers or dimensions if you have already selected appliances.
- Whether the space below the kitchen is accessible and which finishes you want to keep.
What to know before work begins
Plumbing, electrical, gas and HVACWhen a project includes work that requires a licensed trade, the appropriate specialist is engaged for that part of the scope.
Other limits
- Moving a waste line depends on the structure below it. If the joist direction blocks the new path, we will discuss the alternatives rather than cutting the framing.
Do you provide materials?
Who supplies each material is agreed for the project and recorded in the written estimate. We confirm purchasing responsibilities before work begins.
Do I need photos to request an estimate?
No. Photos are optional, but they can help us understand the existing condition.
