Typical scope
- Shelving, bench and storage built-ins
- Scribed fitting to the actual walls
- Face frames, doors and drawers
- Preparation for paint or finish
- Surveying the opening in three dimensions before anything is cut, including how far the floor falls across the run.
- Deciding what is built in place and what is built off site, on the evidence of access and tolerance rather than by habit.
- Structure sized for what the piece will actually carry, including the load a shelf takes when someone leans on it.
- Scribes to wall, floor and ceiling so the piece meets the room without a shadow gap.
- Doors and drawers set with consistent reveals and adjusted after the piece is fixed, not before.
- Finish sequence agreed in advance, since some finishes are far easier before assembly than after.

What to know before work begins
Plumbing, electrical, gas and HVACWhen a project includes work that requires a licensed trade, the appropriate specialist is engaged for that part of the scope.
Other limits
- A built-in is fitted to the room as found. Later changes to the walls or floor will show at the joint.
- Load ratings for shelving depend on the fixing substrate, which is confirmed before the design is agreed.
- A fitted piece is not built to a dimension that has not been verified on site. Drawings from elsewhere are checked against the room before material is ordered.
- If the wall or floor cannot support the design, we revise the design or decline the work before building starts.
Do you provide materials?
Who supplies each material is agreed for the project and recorded in the written estimate. We confirm purchasing responsibilities before work begins.

No. Photos are optional, but they can help us understand the existing condition.
