- Uncoupling or reinforcement where movement is present but within a range tile can tolerate.
- Setting out from the sightlines that matter in the room rather than from the longest wall, so cuts land where they are least visible.
- Maintaining perimeter and movement joints, including at doorways and changes of substrate.
- Grout and sealant selected for the joint width and the traffic, not by appearance alone.

What to know before work begins
Existing conditions, access and the sequence of protection and preparation shape the scope.
Plumbing, electrical, gas and HVACWhen a project includes work that requires a licensed trade, the appropriate specialist is engaged for that part of the scope.
Other limits
- Tile set on a floor that flexes will crack, and no adhesive corrects that. If the structure needs stiffening, that is part of the price or the job is not taken.
- Grout is not a movement joint and will not be used as one.
- Tile is not installed over a floor that flexes beyond its tolerance. The crack that follows is not a workmanship fault and cannot be repaired invisibly, so the work is declined rather than performed and disowned.
- Existing tile is not tiled over where the reason for the original failure is unknown. Covering it repeats it.

Who supplies each material is agreed for the project and recorded in the written estimate. We confirm purchasing responsibilities before work begins.
