- Choosing between pressure and a soft-wash approach on the evidence of the surface rather than by default.
- Stating the achievable result before starting, including where staining is in the material rather than on it.

What to know before work begins
Plumbing, electrical, gas and HVACWhen a project includes work that requires a licensed trade, the appropriate specialist is engaged for that part of the scope.
Other limits
- Pressure damages some surfaces permanently, and older mortar, soft masonry and certain sidings are among them. Where that is the risk we will say no rather than take the work.
- Exterior work is weather and season dependent and scheduled accordingly.
- We decline pressure washing when it would damage failing mortar, soft timber, some coatings or older cladding.
- It is not carried out where the season would drive water into the assembly faster than it can dry, and that timing is explained rather than worked around.

Who supplies each material is agreed for the project and recorded in the written estimate. We confirm purchasing responsibilities before work begins.
