Honeoye Falls and Mendon
Honeoye Falls and Mendon use separate code offices. Mendon’s mapped environmental overlays can add review for historic resources, flood areas, watercourses, and sensitive sites.
What is specific to here.
The Village of Honeoye Falls issues its own permits and publishes its own approved electrical-inspector information. Town properties are handled through Mendon’s Building Department. Mendon’s Environmental Protection Overlay District system includes mapped historic, flood, watercourse, and soil-related controls. The historic overlay was amended in 2025. It covers land within 500 feet of properties on federal, state, or local historic registers. Modification of an existing structure in that overlay can require an EPOD permit and Historic Preservation Commission review. The overlay check belongs at the start of additions, excavation, drainage work, and visible exterior changes. Ask the local department to confirm the parcel and reviewing body before the schedule is set.
How coverage actually works.
Confirmed per addressWe work across Rochester and the surrounding area, approximately up to twenty miles. That is a description of where we usually travel, not a boundary drawn on a map, so the answer for any particular property comes from the address rather than from the town name. Send us the address with your request and we will confirm it before anything is scheduled.
